Verdigris ink

This batch of ink was made from pure copper metal leaf that have reacted with distilled vinegar over 4 months. They slowly disappeared in the liquid to make this aquamarine ink.

Verdigris ink is transparent and can be layered up for a more intense colour. As it dries the colour deepens. If the ink is pooled on the paper you will have little crystals grow at the edges of the ink. Perfect for washes but may be too faint as a calligraphy ink. Be careful to rinse brushes and nibs after use.

This ink comes in a 15ml glass screw top bottle.

Copper is an irritant on the skin, so wash immediately if you come into contact with it. It is toxic if consumed so keep away from children and pets.
